Job Description:

  •   Position title: OSH Lecturer
  •   Department: Occupational Safety and Health
  •   Reports to: Head of Department
  •   Employment Type: Full-Time

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, OSHA certifications) will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level or significant industry experience in OSH.
    A strong record of or potential for research and publication in relevant fields is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Occupational Safety and Health.
    Design, update, and assess course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and examinations, in alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise student projects, internships, and research activities.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and participation in academic conferences.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
  • Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and program enhancement initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities.
  • Foster relationships with industry partners to support student placements and collaborative projects.
