Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>

  • \u00a0 Position title: OSH Lecturer<\/li>
  • \u00a0 Department: Occupational Safety and Health<\/li>
  • \u00a0 Reports to: Head of Department<\/li>
  • \u00a0 Employment Type: Full-Time<\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>

    • A Master\u2019s degree or PhD in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field.<\/li>
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, OSHA certifications) will be considered an advantage.<\/li>
    • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level or significant industry experience in OSH.
      A strong record of or potential for research and publication in relevant fields is desirable.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>

      Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>

      • Develop and deliver lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Occupational Safety and Health.
        Design, update, and assess course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and examinations, in alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.<\/li>
      • Supervise student projects, internships, and research activities.<\/li>
      • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and participation in academic conferences.<\/li>
      • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.<\/li>
      • Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and program enhancement initiatives.<\/li>
      • Participate in departmental and university service activities.<\/li>
      • Foster relationships with industry partners to support student placements and collaborative projects.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>

        Required Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>

        • In-depth knowledge of OSH principles, regulations, and best practices.<\/p><\/li>

        • \u00a0Excellent communication and presentation skills.<\/p><\/li>

        • \u00a0 Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning.<\/p><\/li>

        • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.<\/p><\/li>

        • Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and health in academic and professional settings.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div>
